Remote, Wild & Magical
Situated just a few miles from the spectacular Slea Head Drive, the most westerly point in Europe, lay the majestical Blasket Islands. An archipelago made up of 6 main Islands. Uninhabited since the 1950's, the islands are famed in Literature, with a rich History, and abundance of Flora & Fauna.
The eco-rich waters that lap against the islands are rich with marine life including Whales, Dolphins and many other species. Seals flock to bathe on the beach of the Great Blasket, and its special area of conservation, while native sea birds such as European Storm-petrels gather in huge numbers on Inishtooskert.
The craggy landscape is home to some stunning sights, such as Cathedral Rock, Dead Man Island and the Tearaght Lighthouse.
